Xenization

"If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world."

We went to see the butterflies today.  Of course it’s difficult to say goodbye to you and make new memories out of the places I carved out for only you.  But I’m taking small steps.

Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, ‘Where have I gone wrong?’ Then a voice says to me, ‘This is going to take more than one night.’

So scared of saying goodbye to a place with so many stories, so many tears, so much laughter, work, play, sleep, sleepless nights, sunrises, sunsets.  A place where I tore my heart to pieces trying to plant roots.  Only to tear them out and move along again.  This is one of the most painful times of my life.  This is one of the most exciting times of my life.

Always by Pablo Neruda

I am not jealous
of what came before me.

Come with a man
on your shoulders,
come with a hundred men in your hair,
come with a thousand men between your breasts and your feet,
come like a river
full of drowned men
which flows down to the wild sea,
to the eternal surf, to Time!

Bring them all
to where I am waiting for you;
we shall always be alone,
we shall always be you and I
alone on earth,
to start our life!
